Wings was established by Mr. Jagdish Chandan with a small unit having 10 machines and 25 workers. The company initially stared manufacturing luggage and travel goods under franchise with one of the largest luggage companies in India. In 1987 the company started test marketing of Gig Bags in the international market. By the year 1992 wings established tie-ups with various leading musical instrument distributors in Europe and the United States.

Today the company has a workforce of 200 workers and the production capacity is 200.000 units. The entire production capacity is utilized for Gig Bags. The company complies with all domestic labour laws and do not employ child labour for their production facilities.
